We are seeking a seasoned accounting professional to join our team. As a Bookkeeper with a background in the construction industry, you will play a crucial role in managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and preparing financial reports.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with QuickBooks, Xero, or other accounting software. They will be responsible for reconciling bank statements, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions in accounting software.
  • Reconciling bank statements and preparing financial reports for management review.
  • Assisting in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial statements.
  • Processing payroll and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
  • Tracking invoices, expenses, and payments to ensure timely collections and disbursements.
  • Ensuring compliance with financial policies, procedures, and construction industry regulations.
  • Assisting in preparing documents for tax filings and audits.
  • Coordinating with project managers to track costs and profitability for construction projects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role.
  • Familiarity with the construction industry and job costing is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of QuickBooks, Xero, or other accounting software.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Strong English communication skills: reading, writing, and speaking.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Tech-savvy with knowledge of cloud-based accounting tools.
