Accounting Professional Needed

We are seeking a highly skilled accounting professional to contribute to our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general ledger accounting, including experience with month-end processes and account reconciliation.

About the Role:

  • Contribute to the month-end close process through preparation of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules on a timely basis.
  • Assist the Accounting Manager with consolidations, reviewing domestic and foreign subsidiary financials, eliminations, and financial statement reports for external reporting compliance.
  • Manage business travel and expense platforms, ensuring policy compliance and accurate coding of all transactions.
  • Maintain fixed asset subledgers and propose additions and disposals.
  • Analyze and provide commentary on monthly Balance Sheet and P&L account balances.
  • Assist billing departments during month-end close and ensure payments are processed timely and purchase order exceptions are resolved.
  • Interact cross-functionally with department managers to support accounting team goals.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of critical accounting policies.
  • Support annual financial statement audits by providing supporting documentation and responding promptly and accurately to audit team inquiries.
  • Assist with system implementations, technical accounting analysis, and projects as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, drive efficiency, and streamline processes.

Requirements:

  • BS in Finance/Accounting or CPA
  • Proficient understanding of US GAAP and technical accounting
  • Minimum 2-4 years of General Ledger accounting experience, including account reconciliation and analysis
  • Experience in month-end processes
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Flexibility and willingness to pitch in with assorted tasks as they arise
  • Proficient with MS Office, including Excel and Word
  • Willingness to work Pacific Time Zone hours

Preferred Skills:

  • CPA certification
  • Public accounting experience with a global firm
  • Experience working with external audit firms
  • Experience with financial statement preparation
  • International accounting experience, including consolidations and accounting for foreign currency transactions and gains/losses
  • Experience with systems such as NetSuite, Coupa, FloQast
