Senior Bookkeeper Role

This position oversees the management of financial operations, ensuring robustness and reliability through strategic leadership.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and review junior team output for quality assurance.
  • Lead Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes: invoicing, approval workflows, reconciliation.
  • Coordinate onboarding and cleanup projects for new client accounts.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), checklists, and process documentation.
  • E nsure compliance with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal standards.
  • Provide training and coaching to junior team members, serving as escalation contact.
  • Effectively manage multiple clients and meet deadlines for month-end close.
  • Collaborate with the team lead on onboarding plans.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
  • Deep understanding of US GAAP, full-cycle bookkeeping, and financial cleanup.
  • Experience with QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and process adherence.
  • Strong leadership capability and mentoring experience.
  • Track record of creating or refining SOPs and efficient workflows.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and written communication skills.
