Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled General Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general accounting, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and update general ledgers, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Assistance with preparation of ad hoc & monthly reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards (e.g., GAAP or IFRS) and company policies.
  • Assistance with treatment of prepayments, accruals & capitalization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA certification or equivalent (preferred).
  • Proven experience in general accounting or a related field.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in Australian standards is optimal, NZ & US additional.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (i.e. Oracle NetSuite preferred) and MS Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
