Senior Accountant Opportunity

Our organization is seeking a skilled Senior Accountant to contribute to our accounting team. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in UK accounting standards and regulations, as well as excellent analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and verify the work of junior accountants to ensure accuracy and quality of financial statements and other deliverables.
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of UK corporate tax returns, VAT returns, and P11Ds while maintaining regulatory compliance.
  • Supervise and review UK payroll processes to ensure compliance with HMRC regulations.
  • Assist in preparing statutory accounts for UK limited companies according to UK accounting standards.
  • Provide guidance and constructive feedback to junior bookkeepers while ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Liaise with clients regarding financial reports, tax matters, and compliance requirements.
Requirements
  • Strong experience in a UK accounting firm with a deep understanding of UK accounting standards and regulations.
  • Proven ability to review juniors' work, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK corporate tax, VAT, P11Ds, and statutory accounts up until submission.
  • Extensive experience managing UK payroll and HMRC compliance.
  • Leadership and team delegation experience, including supervising and mentoring accounting teams.
  • Working knowledge of Xero and other UK accounting software.
  • High level of accuracy, problem-solving ability, and analytical thinking.
  • Excellent English language proficiency.
