The Role

  • A dynamic and innovative Sales Engineer will play a critical role in driving the adoption of Varonis solutions by providing technical expertise, conducting product demonstrations, and building strong relationships with customers.
  • Supporting sales teams in complex technical environments requires a strong understanding of cloud computing and cybersecurity principles.
  • As a Sales Engineer, you will collaborate with sales to understand customer requirements and provide technical solutions that address their needs.
  • Conducting in-depth product demonstrations and presentations to prospective clients highlights the value and capabilities of Varonis solutions.
  • Developing and delivering technical proposals, including architecture diagrams, implementation plans, and integration strategies, are essential skills for this role.
  • Serving as a technical advisor to customers provides guidance on best practices for data security, cloud computing, and cybersecurity.
  • Assisting in developing sales strategies and account plans to achieve revenue targets is a key responsibility of this position.
  • Staying current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape effectively positions Varonis solutions.
  • Providing feedback to the product management team on customer requirements and market trends influences product development.
  • Participating in industry events, conferences, and webinars promotes Varonis solutions and establishes thought leadership.

  • A Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field is required. An advanced degree is preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a sales engineering or technical pre-sales role, with a focus on cloud computing and cybersecurity.
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and cybersecurity principles is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of SaaS applications such as Microsoft 365 and Salesforce is required.
  • Experience with data security concepts or solutions, IAM, and compliance frameworks is beneficial.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, are crucial.
  • Travel as needed to support sales activities is a requirement of this role.
  • Thrives and is enthusiastic about engaging with clients and partners, adept at client-facing entertainment and rapid relationship-building.
  • Results-oriented with a demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed targets.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCSP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are a plus.
