Project Support Manager

This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the daily operations of clinical projects. As Project Support Manager, you will be tasked with ensuring that all project activities are conducted in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines, regulatory requirements and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

The ideal candidate will have a graduate degree in a relevant field and significant experience in clinical research, including line management experience within the pharmaceutical industry.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage Clinical Operations staff as assigned to ensure smooth project execution.
  • In collaboration with senior management, identify resource needs and hire new staff to support project growth.
  • Ensure all team members receive comprehensive induction and understand company policies and procedures.
  • Perform regular check-ins with team members to review work quality, workload, welfare and developmental needs.
  • Manage internal expense requests and approve leave requests in line with company policy.
  • Review and assist with the development and maintenance of clinical operations processes and tools.
  • Learning & Development:
  • Contribute to the creation and delivery of training programs for Clinical Operations staff.
  • Business Development:
  • Represent the company at industry conferences and other professional meetings as delegated.
  • Achieve and maintain a good understanding of the local and international clinical trial industry and provide advice to BD as needed.
  • Identify opportunities to expand business collaborations within existing client relationships.
  • Participate in bid defence meetings and other business development activities with clients.
  • Office Management:
  • Collaborate with HQ staff to ensure office equipment and supplies are adequate.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with local vendors to support project needs.
  • Requirements:
  • Graduate degree in a relevant field such as clinical or life sciences, business administration, management or related field.
  • At least 5 years' experience in clinical research, including experience as a SCTA.
  • CRO experience and line/matrix management experience are highly valued.
