Job Title: Remote Dental Receptionist

We are seeking an organized and personable dental receptionist to join our team in a remote capacity. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for patients, handling appointment scheduling, patient communication, and administrative support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Answer inbound calls, texts, and emails from patients in a timely and professional manner
  • Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using dental practice software
  • Verify insurance coverage and eligibility prior to appointments
  • Collect and update patient records, including contact details and medical history
  • Handle billing inquiries and explain treatment plans or insurance-related questions
  • Send appointment reminders and follow-ups via phone, email, or SMS
  • Coordinate with dental staff to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Provide exceptional customer service to enhance patient satisfaction
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a dental receptionist or in a similar administrative role (medical office, front desk, customer service)
  • Familiarity with dental practice management software is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable with remote tools such as VoIP systems, shared calendars, and cloud-based EMR platforms
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently in a remote setting
  • Knowledge of dental terminology and insurance processes is preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in healthcare administration is a plus
