Job Description

The Financial Reporting Specialist will be responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of financial reports for ten to twelve properties. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational and time-management skills, as well as the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.

  • Maintain balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations and other supporting schedules.
  • Work with external accounting firms and auditors.
  • Support property management staff in their day-to-day activities.
  • Review general ledger accounts and record monthly journal entries.
  • Analyze income statements and provide variance explanations.
  • Evaluate business processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred, as is a CPA certification or experience working towards it.
  • At least 2-4 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in multifamily real estate.
  • Strong Excel skills and the ability to learn new software quickly are essential.
