Technical Specialist Job
About the RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated and capable individual to provide advanced technical services to our customer base across Australia and New Zealand, working from home and our offices.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the management and support of technology and associated basic project delivery for First Focus in line with the strategic direction of the business.
Key Responsibilities- Network Management: Support scalable, secure, and highly available network infrastructures for both First Focus and its diverse client base.
- Solution Delivery: Collaborate as part of a high-performing team to deliver network solutions that align with client objectives, business needs, and strict service level agreements (SLAs).
- Operational Support: Provide proactive operational network management, monitoring, and optimization for client networks to ensure maximum uptime and reliability.
- Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve network and service issues, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient resolution.
- Configuration and Maintenance: Configure, install, and maintain a variety of network devices and services (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs, QoS, SD-WAN, etc.).
- System Upgrades: Perform routine network maintenance and system upgrades, including service packs, patches, hotfixes, and security configuration updates via automation or manually.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in Network Administration, preferably within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) or IT outsourcing environment.
- Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic, and network analytics tools.
- Proven hands-on experience with enterprise networking technologies and solutions from vendors such as Fortinet, Cisco, Cisco Meraki, Unifi, Aruba, and Palo Alto.
- Strong knowledge of routing, switching, wireless networking, firewall configuration, SD-WAN technologies, and advanced network security best practices.
- Cisco CCNA Routing and Switching certification.
- Other Aruba, Cisco, or Fortinet NSE Certifications would be highly valued.
- Experience with SolarWinds Orion and NCM or other monitoring and automation services.
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate solutions and collaborate effectively with teams and clients.
