About the Role

At Seidotech Solutions Corp., we seek a skilled Network Engineer – Tier 2 to join our NOC team. As a key technical escalation point, you will be responsible for resolving business-impacting problems that arise in our customers' environments.

This role demands quick thinkers who can make decisions on their feet and possess strong technical acumen. You will work collaboratively with a team of professionals to monitor customer ticket queues and triage tickets that require immediate attention.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor customer ticket queues and triage tickets that need immediate attention.
  • Strive to meet or exceed customer service-level agreements on a regular basis.
  • Act as the owner of your tickets by digging into solutions or escalating to a higher technical tier when necessary.
  • Identify and troubleshoot recurring platform issues and engage senior engineering teams for resolution as needed.
  • Advocate for each customer problem, prioritizing their business needs throughout the troubleshooting process.
  • Participate in Incident Management by providing situational reports (sitreps) via ticket updates and/or customer-facing communications.
  • Respond proactively and reactively to network, system, or service anomalies.
  • Provide top-notch technical support in areas of networking subject-matter expertise.
  • Utilize various network management tools for monitoring and maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot networking, routing, and interconnectivity issues, including configuration analysis of network devices.
  • Identify opportunities to automate repeatable networking tasks through script creation and tool maintenance.
  • Quickly assess an issue and form an understanding of the root cause in unfamiliar technical environments and technologies.
  • Pursue professional growth and development by maintaining or obtaining new industry-specific certifications.
  • Contribute to after-hours on-call rotations as required.
Requirements:

  • A comprehensive grasp of the OSI model and ability to differentiate layers 1-4, including functional examples in each layer.
  • Experience with layer 2 & 3 switching, VLANs, 802.1Q, and static IP routing.
  • Ability to review, assess, and modify basic firewall rules.
  • Hands-on experience with static site-to-site and end-user VPN technologies, carrier/ISP interactions, and enterprise-class carrier/ISP technologies such as SDWAN, private circuits, metro WAN, dedicated internet, MPLS.
  • Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA-JUNOS, DCA are highly desirable.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with public cloud networking platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
  • Proficiency in IT frameworks such as ITIL, COBIT, or MOF.
  • Expertise in tools like SolarWinds N-central, Kaseya VSA, SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor, Wireshark.
  • Hold certifications in Azure Administrator Associate, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate, or similar.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in a related field is preferred.
