Senior Billing/Accounts Receivable Professional

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic finance team as a senior billing/accounts receivable professional. In this role, you will oversee the entire billing and accounts receivable process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

Billing Process Management: You will manage the entire billing process from start to finish, ensuring that all invoices are accurate, complete, and compliant with company policies.

Invoice Preparation and Review: You will prepare and review invoices for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies.

Aging Reports and Collections: You will monitor accounts receivable aging reports and manage the collection process to ensure timely receipt of payments.

Customer Account Reconciliation: You will reconcile customer accounts, resolve discrepancies, and address any billing issues promptly.

Process Improvement: You will develop and implement effective strategies for improving the billing and collection process.

Interdepartmental Coordination: You will coordinate with internal departments to ensure accurate and timely billing.

Financial Reporting: You will prepare and analyze financial reports related to billing and accounts receivable, providing insights and recommendations.

Compliance and Governance: You will ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and relevant regulations.

Mentorship and Training: You will mentor and provide guidance to junior billing and accounts receivable staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

Special Projects: You will support the finance team with special projects and initiatives as needed.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in billing and accounts receivable, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and accounts receivable processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; experience with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; effective communication and interpersonal skills.
