Research Data Specialist

Data mining, research and analysis are crucial components of this role. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical skills, be able to work independently, and have a strong understanding of data collection and analysis.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in sourcing and analyzing municipal and HOA data related to roofing infrastructure, including extracting relevant information from public records, building permits, city inspection reports, and county-level databases.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Mining & Collection
  • Extract key data points from various sources, such as property records, building permits, and city reports.
  • Document roof age, condition reports, storm damage filings, and insurance-related filings by ZIP code or municipality.
  • Identify trends and patterns in the data that can inform marketing strategies.
  • HOA Intelligence Gathering
  • Gather and organize data on HOAs in targeted regions, including contact information, property counts, construction dates, and roofing materials.
  • Track communities requiring uniformity, aesthetic standards, or planned community-wide roof replacements.
  • Database Building & Tagging
  • Organize findings in a structured CRM or spreadsheet with fields such as: Community Name, Address Range, Roof Type, Year Built, Last Roof Permit, HOA Contacts, Roofing Vendor Notes, and Estimated Replacement Window.
  • Tag properties by urgency, opportunity, and mailing-readiness based on age and permit history.
  • Insight Reporting
  • Provide weekly summary reports with key findings, new HOA additions, and high-priority communities for direct mail campaigns.
  • Suggest trends or target clusters that could lead to regional campaigns or partnerships with roofing suppliers.
