IoT Data Engineer Role

We are seeking a skilled IoT Data Engineer to join our team.

Job Description

This position involves designing and architecting scalable backend services, messaging/data pipelines, and REST APIs using Golang or Python. The successful candidate will work closely with our infrastructure team to build scalable cloud-based SaaS solutions while also delivering containerized on-prem deployments for enterprise customers.

The ideal candidate will possess expertise in cybersecurity principles and be able to proactively address complex challenges in IoT environments. They will have experience in designing and optimizing systems using IAM models, encryption, access control, and compliance frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA) to ensure secure and compliant data handling.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design and architect scalable backend services, messaging/data pipelines, and REST APIs using Golang or Python.
  • Work closely with the infrastructure team to build scalable cloud-based SaaS solutions.
  • Deliver containerized on-prem deployments for enterprise customers.
  • Proactively address complex challenges in IoT environments.
  • Design and optimize systems using IAM models, encryption, access control, and compliance frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA).
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Deep expertise in cybersecurity principles.
  • Experience in designing and optimizing systems using IAM models, encryption, access control, and compliance frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA).
  • Ability to design decentralized data ownership models.
  • Familiarity with Ubuntu as a development and deployment platform.
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, STEM, or a related field.
