Workday Consultant

As a Workday Certified Time and Absence expert, you will play a pivotal role in the successful implementation of Workday solutions for clients. Your expertise will be sought after to architect, configure, and test Workday solutions that meet the specific needs of our clients.

Foster the development of other professionals by sharing your knowledge and supporting their growth within the team. You may also be involved in proposal preparations, delivering demonstrations to clients, and speaking at industry events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance on the Workday Payroll product suite, with a focus on Absence & Time Tracking.
  • Lead or coach teams in gathering and documenting client business requirements, designing and configuring Workday solutions, demonstrating configurations through prototype systems, assisting in testing, and completing knowledge transfer to clients.
  • Collaborate with the data conversion team to convert legacy data into Workday.
  • Work with the integration consulting team to configure and test integrations between Workday and other third-party or custom solutions.
  • Mentor new professionals and serve as a role model, coaching others on product knowledge.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively, collaborate synergistically, and address complex tasks/requirements when needed.
  • Facilitate clients' adoption of Workday best practices and maintain ongoing satisfaction to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Provide regular status reports to project managers, keeping them informed of overall project status.
  • Innovate and suggest new approaches and tools to deploy Workday efficiently and effectively.
  • Maintain Workday certifications and qualifications.
  • Ensure functional solutions are compatible with downstream data translation and assist integrators in configuring/testing integrations between Workday and external systems.
  • Demonstrate computational thinking, identifying problem components, analyzing patterns, removing inefficient configurations or processes, and constructing algorithmic solutions scalable to ongoing client needs.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous education amongst colleagues, mentees, and managers, serving as a role model.
  • Provide insightful status reports to project managers, highlighting risks to project health and improvements in client adoption.
