Job Overview

This role requires a unique blend of system administration and platform engineering skills, with direct responsibility for building and maintaining multiple environments. As a member of our team, you will help drive the design of solutions implemented in public cloud environments and work collaboratively with other engineers to maintain our system architecture and prepare for new technical implementations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with expert engineers to identify areas for improvement by applying a DevOps mindset to all managed areas, including Azure cloud and monitoring solutions.
  • Serve as an escalation point for builds, implementations, and support issues for other teams.
  • Drive the design of solutions implemented in public cloud (Azure) and contribute to the maintenance of our system architecture and preparation for new technical implementations.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with cloud services like GCP, AWS, or Azure.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with Kubernetes.
  • Experience with automation and/or scripting languages like PowerShell, Perl, Chef, Puppet, Terraform, Ansible, Yaml, Json, or Python.
  • A solid understanding of networking and core Internet protocols.
  • Experience with Linux/UNIX systems and best practices for deploying applications to those stacks.
  • Experience with different relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with Virtualization technologies, Hyper-V preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge about RESTful APIs.
  • Cross-functional infrastructure experience with Systems, Storage, and Networking.
  • Knowledge of operating models for private cloud, IaaS, and PaaS technologies.
  • Familiarity with continuous integration and delivery.
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Take ownership of features and lead them from conception to production.
  • Actively pursue implementation of best practices for operations.
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
  • A commitment to best practices on operational processes for DevOps.
  • 5+ years of developing software with object-oriented languages like Java, C++, or Ruby.
