Job Title: Learning Experience Designer

We are seeking a skilled Learning Experience Designer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating engaging and effective learning activities and compelling course content in cooperation with subject matter experts.

The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models, as well as experience with lesson and curriculum planning. They will also possess working knowledge of multiple web design technologies (HTML) and multi-media formats (jpg, mp4, mp3), as well as visual design skills (e.g. Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator).

In this role, the Learning Experience Designer will work with subject matter experts to identify required learning outcomes and target learner populations. They will also identify the most appropriate and effective delivery mechanisms (e-learning, virtual classroom, face-to-face etc.) and set instructional end goals and create content that matches them.

The Learning Experience Designer will provide learner interactivity (exercises, activities etc.) that enhance the learning process and learner experience, and create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games, etc.). They will also devise modes of assessment, such as tests or quizzes, to measure the effectiveness of the course and attainment of knowledge and other specified learner outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create engaging and effective learning activities and compelling course content
  • Work with subject matter experts to identify required learning outcomes and target learner populations
  • Identify the most appropriate and effective delivery mechanisms
  • Set instructional end goals and create content that matches them
  • Provide learner interactivity that enhances the learning process and learner experience
  • Create supporting material/media to support learning
  • Devise modes of assessment to measure course effectiveness

Requirements:

  • In-depth knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models
  • Lesson and curriculum planning skills
  • Working knowledge of multiple web design technologies and multi-media formats
  • Visual design skills
  • Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio and video scripts
  • Bachelor's degree in instructional design, educational technology or similar relevant field
