As a key member of our accounting team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.

About This Role

This is a broad-ranging accounting position that requires strong organizational and analytical skills. You will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting functions, including assigning transaction codes to documents, ensuring that documents are processed in the correct accounting period, posting, balancing and closing subsidiary ledgers, following up on delinquent accounts receivable customers, analyzing and verifying internal consistency, completeness and accuracy of account documents and making adjustments as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Perform more clerical accounting functions supporting the accounting department and other accounting associates to include entering routine travel expenses or invoice data into system, typing memos, scanning, filing, and providing documentation.
  • Function as a first point of contact for internal clients, external clients, or vendors for routine accounting questions and inquiries.
  • Update and maintain accounting journals, ledgers and other records detailing financial business transactions (i.e. disbursements, expense vouchers, receipts, accounts payable).
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • No relevant experience typically required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree.
  • Accounting, Finance, or related degree or certificate.
Skills and Capabilities
  • Acquires and applies job skills and learns company policies and procedures to complete assigned routine tasks.
  • Works on assignments that are routine to semi-routine in nature, requiring limited decision outside of stated processes, but recognizes the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice.
