Financial Operations Manager

The Financial Operations Manager will oversee critical aspects of an organisation's financial operations, ensuring optimal cash flow and supporting key decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor daily cash management activities by tracking balances, executing fund transfers, and ensuring sufficient liquidity for operational needs.
  • Develop accurate cash flow forecasts by analysing historical data and collaborating with various departments to anticipate future requirements.
  • Manage relationships with banking partners by negotiating terms, resolving issues promptly, and maintaining up-to-date records of all accounts.
  • Implement robust internal controls over treasury processes to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare detailed reports on cash positions, investments, and debt obligations for senior management review and strategic planning purposes.
  • Support risk mitigation efforts by identifying potential exposures related to currency fluctuations or interest rate changes and recommending appropriate hedging strategies.
  • Coordinate with accounting teams to reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies efficiently while maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Drive process improvements within financial operations by evaluating current procedures and introducing best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Assist in developing policies related to financial functions that align with organisational objectives and industry standards.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated experience in financial operations or corporate finance roles within medium to large organisations is essential for success in this position.
  • A strong understanding of cash flow forecasting techniques combined with practical knowledge of liquidity management tools is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in using financial systems such as ERP platforms or treasury management software will enable you to perform your duties effectively.
  • A keen eye for detail coupled with strong analytical abilities will allow you to identify trends, spot discrepancies, and recommend improvements confidently.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations governing financial activities ensures compliance across all processes under your remit.
  • The ability to communicate complex financial information clearly—both verbally and in writing—is vital when preparing reports or presenting findings.
