Learning Content Developer

The primary goal of this role is to create engaging and effective learning activities and compelling course content in collaboration with subject matter experts from various fields. This position supports the Learning Service Delivery Strategy by contributing to a team that develops high-quality learning materials.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to identify required learning outcomes and target learner populations.
  • Apply best practices in learning technologies and instructional design to develop interactive and user-friendly learning experiences.
  • Select the most appropriate delivery mechanisms (e-learning, virtual classroom, face-to-face etc.) to ensure maximum effectiveness.
  • Create content that aligns with instructional end goals and enhances the learning process.
  • Design instructional graphics, user interfaces, and finished products for e-learning platforms.
  • Develop supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games, etc.) to reinforce learning objectives.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of courses and attainment of knowledge through assessments and quizzes.
  • Maintain the alignment of new content implementation as required, including identification of prerequisites and related/interdependent courses.
Requirements:
  • In-depth knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models.
  • Lesson planning skills to create structured and engaging learning experiences.
  • Working knowledge of multiple web design technologies (HTML) and multimedia formats (jpg, mp4, mp3).
  • Visual design skills to create visually appealing learning materials (e.g. Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator).
  • Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio, and video scripts.
  • Degree in instructional design, educational technology, or a similar relevant field.
  • Certification in Instructional Design (preferred).
