Key Position Overview

We are seeking a Book Cover and Interior Designer to create high-quality book covers and format interiors for both print and digital platforms.

This role involves designing eye-catching and market-appropriate book covers, formatting book interiors efficiently, collaborating with the production team and incorporating feedback to meet print and digital standards, and preparing final files for print, ensuring compatibility with platforms like KDP and IngramSpark.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Design visually appealing and effective book covers that capture readers' attention.
  • Format book interiors according to our style guide and print specifications.
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of professional graphic design experience, including book layout design.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
  • A strong understanding of InDesign tools, including paragraph/character styles, tables of contents, baseline grids, indexing, and footnotes.
  • Experience preparing files for both print and digital formats.
  • Familiarity with KDP and IngramSpark is beneficial but not essential.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work efficiently in a collaborative environment.
