Operations Manager

Lead a warehouse team to optimize logistics and ensure efficient execution of all warehouse operations. Develop strategies for receiving, storage, inventory control, and dispatch of temperature-sensitive goods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage inbound and outbound logistics, including reception, storage, order picking, and loading of perishable goods.
  • Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to improve efficiency and consistency in the warehouse.
  • Oversee the management of inventory accuracy through cycle counting and physical inventories.
  • Collaborate with the Inventory Controller to maintain high inventory accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations (HACCP, GMP) and occupational health and safety standards.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Industrial Engineering.
  • At least 5 years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or supply chain management, with at least 3 years of leadership experience.
  • Extensive experience managing operations within a cold storage environment.
  • Proven track record of improving operational efficiency and achieving key performance indicators (KPIs).
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of food safety regulations and occupational health and safety standards.
  • Expertise in using and optimizing Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Knowledge of Lean methodologies and process optimization techniques applicable to warehousing.
