Document Creation Specialist

Our organization is seeking a skilled Document Creation Specialist to develop and maintain our knowledge base. As a key member of our team, you will craft engaging articles and guides that cater to diverse audiences. You will work closely with technical teams to distill complex information into easily digestible content.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Write high-quality technical documents, including software guides, user manuals, how-to articles, and update notes
  • Collaborate with software developers and product teams to grasp new features and functionalities
  • Transform intricate technical language into clear, concise English
  • Design informative visual aids, such as diagrams, screenshots, and flowcharts
  • Organize documents for seamless navigation and retrieval
  • Test instructions to ensure accuracy and efficacy
  • Revise existing documents to maintain relevance and value
  • Partner with support teams to identify documentation needs and priorities
  • Develop standard formats and templates to ensure consistency across all documents
  • Pursue innovative projects and propose enhancements to our documentation strategy
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Must be a Tier III employee or higher
  • Must meet or exceed quality standards
  • No current disciplinary warnings
  • Good attendance record
  • Ability to work from any location
  • Strong writing skills, capable of simplifying complex concepts
  • Experience in crafting various types of technical documents
  • Comfortable asking engineers questions to gather information
  • Knowledge of documentation software
  • Excellent research skills to find relevant information
  • Capacity to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Good organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities
Preferred Experience:
  • API documentation experience
  • 'Docs-as-code' expertise
  • Confluence and Jira software proficiency
  • Documentation for online marketplaces or platforms
