Retail Operations Manager

Job Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the retail operations team to ensure seamless execution and management of order-to-cash cycles. This includes day-to-day activities such as order entry, accuracy, and execution from receipt through delivery, invoicing, and payment collection.

  • Lead the team in executing and managing order-to-cash cycles efficiently.
  • Provide customer support for pre-order activities, including systemic setup, writing customer-specific SOPs, and ensuring orders are ready for processing.
  • Develop sustainable processes and systems from scratch, focusing on efficiency and scalability as new customers and sales channels are onboarded.
  • Maintain strong data integrity in all order operations systems associated with order entry, fulfillment, management, and invoicing.
  • Oversee month-end reconciliation from the Order Operations perspective, providing fully vetted reporting to Accounting showing accurate orders for the previous month.
  • Create workflows using connectors like Zapier, Make, N8N, Parabola, etc., to significantly reduce repetitive, manual work handled by the team daily.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate must possess:

  • Ability to work full-time US-based hours.
  • Automation expertise, particularly with Zapier, Make, N8N, and other similar tools.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in a customer-facing role.
  • Elite organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Process-oriented mindset with ability to identify issues, create scalable processes, and implement them with team members.
  • Order processing experience, including EDI, B2B, and manual orders, as well as strong ERP system knowledge.
  • Experience managing direct reports.
  • At least 2 years of experience working in US food & beverage order operations with distributors like UNFI & Kehe and retailers like Target.
  • Able to thrive in a remote work environment under minimal supervision.
  • Customer-focused mentality with an unrelenting desire to provide world-class service while prioritizing company interests.
  • Killer instinct mentality: willing to roll up sleeves, figure things out, and get tasks done even when not directly related to job duties.
