The ideal candidate will have experience in assisting with field surveys and possess strong field ecology survey skills in marine and/or terrestrial ecosystems. Additionally, a basic understanding of wildlife legislation and policy in the Arabian Peninsula is highly desirable.

This position involves assisting with desk studies on terrestrial and/or marine ecology and field surveys. As the successful candidate develops their skills, they will take on more responsibilities such as assisting with ecological impact assessment studies and providing mitigation for protected flora and fauna for various development projects in the GCC or Philippines.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the ecology team during field surveys.
  • Analyzing data and samples to determine species distribution patterns.
  • Participating in habitat surveys, identifying different habitats and associated flora and fauna.
  • Writing reports and maintaining ecological survey equipment.
  • Developing knowledge of local wildlife legislation and communicating it effectively to colleagues, clients, and contractors.
  • Maintaining accurate field notes and managing data effectively.
