
Patient Support Associate

We are seeking a skilled Medical Support Specialist to handle patient inquiries and provide support services. This role requires strong communication skills, a familiarity with medical policies and procedures, and excellent organizational abilities.
Main Responsibilities:- Patient Interaction: Answer incoming calls in accordance with procedure and departmental standards, assisting patients with their queries and concerns.
- Collection Services: Collect outstanding balances from patients and communicate with third-party entities regarding patient accounts.
- Outbound Calls: Make outbound collection calls as per procedure and departmental standards.
- Billing Support: Support patients with billing queries and concerns.
- Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality of protected health information.
This role also involves collaborating with colleagues to achieve departmental goals, ensuring reliable attendance and punctuality. The successful candidate will possess strong written and verbal communication skills, be able to work independently with minimal supervision, and demonstrate attention to detail and organizational skills.
Required Skills and Qualifications:- Education: A degree or at least 2 years of college education.
- Experience: Prior experience in the medical field is an asset.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Independence: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Confidentiality: Capacity to handle confidential information.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with email and basic mathematical calculations.
