Job Description

The Infrastructure Services team is responsible for delivering and maintaining the world-class server infrastructure across global regions. They collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive excellence, standardization, scalability, and continuous improvement in customer satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities

  • The team manages multi-vendor server infrastructure platforms, ensuring a stable and reliable service by performing routine planned OS upgrades, refreshes, bulk installations, configuration management, migrations, and decommissioning.

  • This role reports to the Global Infrastructure Management team and is primarily responsible for planning and executing Virtual Machine (VM) migrations while supporting other infrastructure functions such as server installations, capacity upgrades, software updates, and planned maintenance activities across multi-vendor environments.

Requirements

  • Execute VM migrations across multiple environments with minimal downtime.

  • Administer and maintain Linux-based systems supporting production workloads.

  • Manage and operate hypervisor platforms (Proxmox VE, VMware) for provisioning, migration, and lifecycle management.

  • Develop and maintain automation scripts (Bash, Perl; Python optional) to support migration, monitoring, and routine operations.

  • Implement and manage infrastructure automation using Puppet and Ansible for system configuration, deployment, and scaling.

  • Create and review Migration Plans (MOPs) and Change Management Requests (CMRs) to ensure smooth execution.

  • Perform scheduled out-of-hours maintenance in alignment with change management processes.

  • Support the decommissioning of legacy systems, including service removal, data sanitization, and e-waste compliance.

  • Document and maintain accurate system, process, and migration records.

  • Continuously identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities.
