Job Title: Policy and Compliance Specialist

This role serves as the central coordinator of all organizational policies and procedures. The policy specialist ensures that all policies are current, reviewed, and compliant with applicable standards.

  • Policymaking & Compliance Management
    • Maintain an indexed master library of current policies and archived versions.
    • Track review cycles and coordinate timely updates and re-approvals.
    • Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and accrediting standards.
  • Policy Development & Stakeholder Engagement
    • Draft new policies based on leadership directives or changes in regulatory requirements.
    • Distribute draft documents for feedback and incorporate suggested changes.
    • Follow up with team members for timely input.
    • Prepare finalized documents for approval and publication.
  • Regulatory Reporting Oversight
    • Maintain a comprehensive calendar of required reports for licensing, funding, and accreditation entities.
    • Coordinate report generation and submission to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Governance & Compliance Meetings
    • Schedule recurring meetings for compliance, quality assurance, performance improvement, and risk management.
    • Create agendas, track attendance, document minutes, and follow up on action items.
  • Policy Inquiry Response & Gap Resolution
    • Respond to internal policy questions and requests for clarification.
    • Review policy documents to provide accurate responses and guidance to staff.
    • IDentify gaps in existing documentation and draft new policies when necessary.
    Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Policy, Legal Studies, or a related field (Master's preferred).
    • 3–5 years of experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, or policy management within a healthcare or behavioral health organization.
    • Familiarity with Joint Commission, Arizona DHS, and applicable labor and healthcare regulations.
    • Strong technical writing and policy drafting skills.
    • Ability to work independently and cross-functionally across HR, operations, and clinical teams.
    • Proficient with cloud-based document systems and project tracking platforms.
