Job Overview

  • Manage accounts receivable, ensuring accurate payment allocation and receipt verification.
Key Responsibilities:

The Accounts Receivable Specialist plays a vital role in managing the company's cash flow by performing the following tasks:

  1. Daily cash posting from various banks and financial institutions.
  2. Posting from multiple lock boxes.
  3. Monthly or weekly cash to accounting reconciliation.
  4. Designing a complete reconciliation process around lock box processes.
  5. Reporting on cash receipts and volume.
  6. Updating customer information when reviewing remittance data.
  7. Performing account reconciliations, investigating and resolving inquiries or discrepancies.
  8. Maintaining effective working relationships with customers, billing department members, and account managers.
  9. Providing regular reports to direct supervisors.
  10. Collaborating with account managers and senior management to resolve customer complaints or payment issues.
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • At least 2 years of experience in accounts receivable, including collections and contract management.
  • Familiarity with accounting systems like Microsoft Dynamics GP, QuickBooks, and ConnectWise.
  • An associate degree or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • A strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Collaborative team player skills.
  • Passion for process automation and scalability.
