Accountant Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis and management.

  • Job Highlights:
  • Contract type: Independent Contractor
  • Work Schedule: between 7am and 6pm Utah time - 40 total paid hours per week with 1 unpaid hour for break.

Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare, examine, and analyze financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with established standards and regulations.
  2. Develop, implement, and maintain financial databases, software systems, and manual filing systems.
  3. Prepare and analyze budgets, comparing budgeted costs to actual costs.
  4. Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to project future revenues and expenses.
  5. Provide strategic financial recommendations based on financial analysis.
  6. Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory bodies to ensure documentation compliance.
  7. Collaborate with management to provide insights for financial decision-making.
  8. Stay updated with financial and tax regulations to ensure compliance.

  • Proficiency in accounting software and tools.
