Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Financial Director to oversee our organization's financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, regulatory compliance, and strategic financial planning. This role is vital in managing budgets, analyzing financial data, and supporting business decisions to drive profitability and efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, finance, and management, with a proven track record in managerial or controller positions. They should possess excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, as well as strong communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities
  • Financial Planning and Analysis:
    • Prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial models
    • Analyze financial performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement
  • Accounting and Reporting:
    • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements
    • Oversee general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll
    • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance
  • Compliance and Audit:
    • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations
    • Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and financial reviews
  • Team Management:
    • Lead and mentor the finance and accounting teams
    • Develop team skills and improve departmental efficiency
  • Strategic Financial Support:
    • Provide insights to senior management for strategic decision-making
    • Evaluate financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them
  • Cash Flow and Treasury Management:
    • Manage cash flow to ensure liquidity and operational efficiency
    • Oversee investments, banking relationships, and funding arrangements
Requirements
  • 5+ years in bookkeeping/accounting
  • 2+ years in management budgeting and projections
  • Proven track record in managerial or controller positions
  • Cashflow management
Skills
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Quickbooks online, Quickbooks desktop) and advanced Excel
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities
