Job Opportunity

As a seasoned bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of our organization. This position offers a unique chance to showcase your expertise in Xero and demonstrate your ability to reconcile transactions from various payment gateways.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage accounts payable, ensuring timely receipt and coding of invoices, followed by submission for processing.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and verify that all transactions are accurately recorded in Xero.
  • Reconcile batch payments from clients via EasyDebit, Stripe, and Square.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and payable, guaranteeing timely processing of payments.
  • Post month-end general journals (e.g., accruals, prepayments, stock adjustments) as required by the Finance Manager.
  • Maintain the fixed asset register in Xero.
  • Prepare and submit Business Activity Statements (BAS) and ensure compliance with GST regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support accurate financial reporting.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records and systems.
  • Assist with payroll and superannuation contributions, if required.
Requirements:
  • 2–3 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably within an Australian business environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of Xero.
  • Experience reconciling transactions from EasyDebit, Stripe, or similar payment gateways.
  • Solid understanding of Australian GST, BAS, and accounting compliance.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
  • Clear and professional communication skills (written and verbal).
