Job Opportunity:

The Senior Australian Tax Accountant role requires a professional to review financial data, prepare annual financial statements and complete tax returns within defined timeframes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review financial data for accuracy of coding
  • Prepare annual financial statements for various entity structures
  • Complete tax returns within set deadlines
  • Assist with bookkeeping duties and BAS lodgment as required
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Australian taxation and accounting expertise is mandatory
  • At least 6 years' experience in public practice or accounting firms offering Australian taxation services is necessary
  • Knowledge and experience in accounting for companies, partnerships, and trusts are required
  • Proficiency in Xero, XPM, and other accounting systems is essential
  • Xero Certified status is required
  • Sound understanding of the Australian GST system, including BAS and IAS, is necessary
  • Preference will be given to candidates with Office 365, Karbon, and SuperMate experience
  • Qualified Accountant/CPA qualification is highly desirable
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to follow process/system are essential
  • Proactive, highly organised, and self-motivated individuals are preferred
  • Motivated to continue learning and progressing in their career
