Healthcare Customer Service Representative

This is a high-volume customer service position that requires efficient, productive and thorough communication with clients over the phone.
As a key component in customer satisfaction, you will have responsibility for making every contact informative, productive and positive for our members and providers.
- You will be responsible for managing member cases, providing education on program benefits and services, and helping to resolve inquiries from members and/or providers.
- Manage intake of members or admission/discharge information post notification.
- Work with hospitals, clinics, facilities and clinical teams to manage requests for services from members and/or providers.
- Process incoming and outgoing referrals and prior authorizations, including intake, notification and census roles.
- Provide triage and care coordination notification cases for non-clinical assessment/intervention.
- Handle resolution/inquiries from members and/or providers.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 1+ years of customer service experience analyzing and solving customer problems.
- Ability to create, edit, save and send documents using Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to type and talk at the same time and navigate through multiple screens.
- Experience working within the healthcare industry and with healthcare insurance.
- Experience working with Medicare and/or Medicaid Services.
- Experience working in metric-driven work environments.
- Call center experience.
- Clerical or administrative support background.
