Job Opportunity: Senior Auditor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Senior Internal Auditor (SOX). This position requires strong analytical and communication skills, as well as expertise in internal control frameworks and SOX compliance.

About the Role
  • Plan and execute audits per plan or management requests to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Document and analyze audit evidence to support findings and recommendations.
  • Prepare clear, accurate audit workpapers and reports that effectively communicate results to stakeholders.
  • Identify control gaps and track remediation efforts to maintain a strong internal control environment.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external auditors to ensure seamless execution of audits.
  • Advise on internal control best practices and promote audit awareness throughout the organization.
  • Stay current on business operations, IT, and industry standards to provide informed guidance and recommendations.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in audit roles, preferably in public accounting or internal audit for a US-listed public company.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a Master's degree being an asset.
  • A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
  • Strong knowledge of internal control frameworks, including COSO and COBIT, and SOX compliance is essential.
  • Experience auditing key business processes, such as revenue recognition, procure-to-pay, and financial statement close.
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills are necessary for success in this role.
  • The ability to work independently with a high level of integrity and accountability is crucial.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and audit tools, such as AuditBoard/SOXHub, is required.
  • A willingness to travel as needed is necessary.
