Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned WordPress professional to join our team as a Full Stack Engineer. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in building and customising WordPress themes, creating engaging user experiences, and ensuring seamless integration with our digital ecosystem.

Main Responsibilities
  • Theme Development: Build custom WordPress themes and plugins to support new features and design requirements.
  • User Experience Design: Design user flows, wireframes, and mockups for new WordPress website features and enhancements.
  • Responsive Design: Ensure responsive, mobile-friendly, and user-centred design across platforms.
  • SEO Optimisation: Implement SEO best practices to maximise site visibility and performance.
  • Technical Expertise: Understand WordPress architecture, PHP, and MySQL; manage hosting environments, deployments, and database optimisation; troubleshoot performance and security issues on the server side.
  • Integration: Integrate WordPress with third-party tools (e.g. CRM, analytics, lead generation platforms).
  • Troubleshooting: Monitor and troubleshoot website performance, security, and technical issues.
  • Documentation: Document processes, workflows, and updates for internal knowledge sharing.
Requirements
  • Professional Experience: Minimum 3 years' experience as a WordPress developer.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and PHP.
  • WordPress Management: Experience managing WordPress CMS environments, including hosting, security, and updates.
  • Responsive Web Design: Proven track record of developing responsive, cross-browser compatible websites.
  • SEO Knowledge: Familiarity with SEO fundamentals and website performance optimisation.
Nice-to-Haves
  • Design Tools: Experience with design tools such as Adobe Photoshop or Figma.
  • UX/UI Design: Understanding of UX/UI design principles.
  • Analytics: Knowledge of Google Analytics and related tracking tools.
