Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Quality Specialist to join our Enterprise Data department. The ideal candidate will have experience in creating and managing automated tests to identify issues with the ETL process, ensuring the quality of data in the Enterprise Data Warehouse.

The role involves working together with the onshore Enterprise Data team to decide on required tests on the process, automate them through stored procedures/SQL/Python, and schedule them as part of the ETL process which loads data from source into the EDW.

Main Responsibilities
  • Automate common manual testing done by the QA team through creating macros.
  • Build and monitor automated system health checks.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Data Engineers to investigate root cause of issues and suggest resolutions.
  • Orchestrate data quality testing solutions.
  • Support the team in doing releases.
  • Demonstrate automation knowledge on various tools.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience in snowflake, SQL & any data pipeline orchestration tool.
  • Understanding of different Data Modeling patterns like DVM, Star, Multi-dimensional etc.
  • Good Python experience is preferred.
  • Strong SQL and data transformation skills.
  • Understanding of ETL/ELT process fundamentals.
  • Automation knowledge on any tool.
  • Prior experience in collaborating with team members to build solutions improving data quality within the data warehouse.
  • A drive to automate processes focusing on ensuring data quality and process rigidity.
  • Experience within data engineering.
  • Relational database experience and investigating root cause of issues.
  • Semi-structured data sets experience.
  • Key SQL and data transformation skills.
  • Database management systems and scripting understanding.
Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Data Science, Engineering, or related field.
