About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Operations Manager to join our team at VargasAndrews. The successful candidate will be responsible for completing a variety of tasks to support the daily operations of the HR department.

Key Responsibilities
  • New Hire Onboarding: Prepare paperwork, schedule, and facilitate smooth new hire onboarding process, coordinating with cross-functional departments to deliver an exceptional first-day experience.
  • Recruitment Process: Assist with the recruitment process by identifying candidates, conducting interviews, reference checks and issuing employment contracts.
  • HR Objectives and Systems: Participate in development of HR objectives and systems, including metrics, queries, and standard reports for ongoing company requirements.
  • Administrative Tasks: Handle all administrative tasks for onboarding, new hire orientation, and exit interviews, including entering data into HR information systems and auditing for accuracy and compliance.
  • HR Advisory Service: Provide an effective and dedicated HR advisory service to employees and contractors in relation to absence and health issues, conduct and capability, grievance matters, organizational change, and all other employee/contractor-relations matters.
  • Payroll Processing: Be the primary backup for payroll processing, including; bi-weekly and semi-monthly updates to employee and contractors' files, bonus/incentive pay, tracking vacation/sick pay, importing expense reimbursements, inputting exceptions, hourly employee validations, and benefit changes.
  • Policies and Procedures: Assist in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of employee/contractor handbook, employee/contractor directory, and organizational chart, and contributes to the development of policies.
Requirements
  • Remote Onboarding Experience: Experience with remote onboarding and virtual team engagement is essential.
  • HR Certification: Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) or ongoing pursuit of certification is a plus.
  • Talent Acquisition: Experience in talent acquisition for diverse roles, including technical, operational, and leadership positions.
  • Problem Solving: Proactive problem solving: Capable of identifying and resolving HR-related challenges in a timely and constructive manner.
  • Adaptability: Adaptability: Comfortable with the fast-paced and evolving nature of a remote work environment.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal skills to facilitate effective communication across a distributed team.
  • Team Player: Collaborative and willing to work with various departments to support HR initiatives and organizational goals.
