Renewal Sales Specialist

  • Drive high-volume renewal rates and maintain a significant daily call and email volume, covering the North America territory.
  • Collaborate with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders in a hybrid work environment to develop trusted relationships with key accounts and drive high ROI on SWI.
  • Identify customer requirements, uncover roadblocks, and demonstrate strong account management and commercial capabilities to drive renewals to timely closure.
  • Partner with Customer Success & Account Executives to maximize account growth opportunities by playing an active role on the account team and helping identify expansion and cross-sale opportunities.
  • Implement strategies to decrease churn across the signed customer base.
  • Prioritize responsibilities within your customer segment, differentiating between accounts at risk and balancing daily activity and velocity sales.
  • Resolve issues preventing ongoing SolarWinds relationships with customers.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, including licenses, software expiration dates, shipping addresses, and updated contact information.
  • Advocate for customers to resolve issues, including collections, legal requirements, pilot programs, and escalation to support & engineering.
  • Negotiate and close sales while maintaining a high customer experience.
  • Raise issues and trends identified in your customer segment for analysis and resolution.
  • Demonstrate product knowledge to articulate value and identify upsell opportunities.
About This Role

This Renewal Sales Specialist will be responsible for driving high-volume renewal rates and maintaining a significant daily call and email volume, covering the North America territory.

In this role, you will collaborate with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders in a hybrid work environment to develop trusted relationships with key accounts and drive high ROI on SWI.

You will identify customer requirements, uncover roadblocks, and demonstrate strong account management and commercial capabilities to drive renewals to timely closure.

Additionally, you will partner with Customer Success & Account Executives to maximize account growth opportunities by playing an active role on the account team and helping identify expansion and cross-sale opportunities.

Your success in this role will depend on your ability to implement strategies to decrease churn across the signed customer base.

You must prioritize responsibilities within your customer segment, differentiating between accounts at risk and balancing daily activity and velocity sales.

As a Renewal Sales Specialist, you will resolve issues preventing ongoing SolarWinds relationships with customers and maintain accurate customer records, including licenses, software expiration dates, shipping addresses, and updated contact information.

You will also advocate for customers to resolve issues, including collections, legal requirements, pilot programs, and escalation to support & engineering.

Negotiating and closing sales while maintaining a high customer experience is a critical aspect of this role.

You will raise issues and trends identified in your customer segment for analysis and resolution and demonstrate product knowledge to articulate value and identify upsell opportunities.

This position requires a high level of organization, time management, and communication skills to ensure timely completion of tasks and effective collaboration with stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years' experience in a technical sales role
  • Ability to network and build trust both internally and externally
  • Ability to navigate and bring clarity to complex situations
  • Previous experience with CRM - NetSuite or Salesforce; Tableau is a plus
