Job Role Overview

The primary objective of this position is to oversee the maintenance and repair of complex computer networks, software systems, and infrastructure. This includes servers, workstations, networking equipment, and application software.

Responsibilities will encompass troubleshooting, deploying, managing, and upgrading various IT systems to ensure optimal performance and stability.

This role demands a high level of technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Key Performance Indicators will include:

  • Troubleshooting and resolving complex Windows OS and network issues in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Collaborating with vendors for third-party software support when necessary.
  • Maintaining and upgrading server and workstation systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Ensuring the security and integrity of all networked systems and data.
Qualifications and Skills
  • At least 3 years of full-time experience in systems administration or a related field.
  • Experience in troubleshooting Windows OS (Windows 8.1 to 11) including peripherals such as printers and scanners.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Server 2008+ and server OS management, administration, deployment, and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of multiple network operating systems, protocols, security best practices, and implementation techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to quickly grasp abstract concepts and apply them in troubleshooting without step-by-step instructions.
  • Strong deductive reasoning and problem-solving skills without reliance on scripted steps.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Relevant certifications (A+, Net+, Security+, or similar).
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in network administration or computer science.
  • Experience with smart switches, access points, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, and routers.
  • Knowledge of cloud server management and deployment (Microsoft/Google/Amazon).
  • Experience with Kaseya and ConnectWise Manage.
