Senior User Interface Designer

We are seeking an experienced UI/UX professional to lead our design efforts in a fast-paced health tech startup.

This senior role involves designing end-to-end solutions for both a consumer-facing aged care mobile app and a platform for healthcare professionals and systems.

  1. Design a user-friendly, scalable solution for a consumer-facing aged care mobile app (for users aged 65–80) and a platform for health systems and healthcare professionals.
  2. Utilize Figma as the primary design tool.
  3. Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and clinical teams to deliver solutions that meet the unique needs of the aged care market.
  4. Conduct research and analysis to understand diverse user groups, especially older adults.
  5. Create accessible, high-contrast, readable, and intuitive interfaces.
  6. Establish a design system and workflows for easy feedback and approvals.
  7. Contribute to marketing design as needed.
  8. Lead all aspects of UI/UX delivery, from strategy through execution.
Requirements

We're looking for someone with:

  1. A minimum of 5 years of UI/UX design experience, preferably with at least 2 years designing health or medical tech products.
  2. 2+ years of startup experience where they managed their work independently.
  3. Experience designing for older adults (ages 65 to 80) with a focus on accessibility and usability.
  4. Proficiency in Figma, with a fast, organized, and collaborative approach.
  5. Strong design research skills and the ability to uncover user needs without constant direction.
  6. A proactive attitude and desire to build solutions.
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a love for cross-functional collaboration.
  8. Strong visual design abilities with a portfolio showing clean, custom work.
  9. Comfortable taking on multiple responsibilities and solving new challenges with a positive mindset.
