We are looking for an experienced accounting professional to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

In this role, you will be responsible for preparing financial reports, maintaining accurate general ledgers, and managing daily accounting tasks.

You will also assist in month-end closings, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance with U.S. accounting standards (GAAP).

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.

  • At least 3 years of corporate accounting experience is necessary.

  • Experience working remotely for a U.S.-based accounting firm is preferred.

  • A strong knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting, and cost control principles is essential.

  • Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, U.S. GAAP, laws, standards, and state/national regulations is required.

  • Solid experience with QuickBooks Online (certification a plus) is needed.

  • Advanced proficiency with spreadsheet software (MS Excel and Google Sheets) is necessary.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills are required.

  • Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to follow through and execute a high volume of nuanced tasks is essential.

  • Ability to work with a strong sense of urgency in a fast-paced setting with a wide variety of tasks is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Public Accountant is highly desirable.

  • Experience in startups, SaaS, or fast-paced client environments is preferred.

  • Familiarity with tools such as Expensify, Bill.com, Gusto, Stripe, etc. is beneficial.

  • Experience with platforms like Airtable, Loom, Salesforce, Box, and others is desired.

  • Strong bank reconciliation experience is essential.
