Seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented AR Collections Specialist to lead our team in efficiently managing accounts receivable collections processes.

Responsibilities
  • Optimize and implement effective AR collections strategies across the organization.
  • Proactively review and follow up on outstanding accounts receivable balances to minimize financial risks.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in billing and payment postings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, insurance companies, and internal stakeholders to address payment issues and resolve outstanding balances.
  • Utilize advanced analytics and data visualization tools to track and manage accounts receivable activities, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Analyze and prioritize collection efforts based on delinquency levels, maximizing recovery rates and minimizing write-offs.
  • Collaborate closely with the billing and coding team to ensure accurate and timely submission of claims, optimizing revenue cycle performance.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated expertise as an AR Collections Specialist or similar role in the healthcare industry, with a proven track record of success.
  • Proficiency in using Athena Health EMR system, with experience in analyzing and interpreting complex data sets.
  • Strong understanding of medical billing and insurance claims processes, including relevant laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to identify and resolve complex problems quickly and efficiently.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and exceed performance targets, with a commitment to continuous improvement and excellence.
