We are seeking a highly skilled professional to fill the role of Financial Services Specialist. In this position, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of clients and provide high-quality accounting services.

The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of financial statements, income tax returns, and Business Activity Statements. They will also be well-versed in client accounting programs, including XERO, MYOB, Reckon, Banklink, Cashflow Manager, and Phoenix.

A key responsibility of this role will be to prepare financial statements, income tax returns, and Business Activity Statements for sole traders, partnerships, trusts, and companies. The successful candidate will also be required to remain current with tax law changes and interpret and understand tax law to explain it to clients.

  • Preparation of financial statements, income tax returns, and Business Activity Statements.
  • Maintenance of client history, trust details, and completion of basic to intermediate Financial Statements and Tax Returns across all entity types.
  • Remain current with tax law changes and interpret and understand tax law to explain it to clients.

The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Accounting or a similar relevant qualification. They will also have 2 plus years' experience in a similar role and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. Additionally, they will be able to quickly adapt to new software, such as Xero, MYOB, and/or QuickBooks.
