We are seeking a seasoned Financial Operations Manager to lead our team in the role of Balance Sheet Substantiation COE – Senior Finance Analyst. As a critical member of our finance team, you will play a key role in driving standard balance sheet substantiation processes and providing expert guidance to regional teams and local Business Units.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of balance sheet substantiation processes, ensuring accurate and timely completion of reconciliations, and providing insightful commentary to support business review meetings and decision-making. They will also collaborate with Finance partners and Business Units to identify and resolve reconciliation discrepancies and streamline processes for greater efficiency and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement balance sheet substantiation processes to drive standardization and efficiency.
  • Lead the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, including insurance-related accounts, to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to regional teams and local Business Units on balance sheet substantiation processes.
  • Collaborate with Finance partners and Business Units to identify and resolve reconciliation discrepancies.
  • Streamline reconciliation processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Participate in governance meetings with Business Units and other stakeholders to discuss balance sheet substantiation processes and provide expert insights.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records of all reconciliation activities to ensure a clear audit trail.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance reconciliation efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; accounting designation (CPAAccounting designation (CPA) is an advantage.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting operations and/or financial reporting experience; insurance industry experience is preferred.
  • Hybrid Work Arrangement: Amenability and readiness to work onsite and from home anytime (dependent on business need AND/OR current external environment/situation) and must be willing to work on a day shift schedule.
