Senior Utility Engineer Position Overview

At our organization, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Utility Engineer to lead detailed inspections of overhead utility infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring data integrity, contributing to process improvements within the electric utility sector, and providing technical leadership to support project success.

This role requires strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience in the electric utility field and be proficient in GIS software, data management tools, and industry-standard reference materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead detailed inspections of overhead utility infrastructure, identifying faults and hazards.
  • Perform advanced data analysis, ensuring high standards of accuracy and data quality.
  • Oversee QA/QC processes for work packages and ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Provide feedback and contribute to process improvements.
  • Work closely with internal teams to align data accuracy with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with utility companies to ensure project goals and deliverables are met.

Requirements:
  • 4+ years of experience in the electric utility field (preferred).
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills (must-have).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (must-have).
  • Proficient computer skills with good written and oral communication abilities (must-have).
  • Working knowledge of the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC), national engineering standards, utility construction standards, and best industry engineering practices (nice-to-have).
