About the Role:

  • The Product Development Specialist will be responsible for managing the product lifecycle, supplier relationships, and financial data to ensure profitable partnerships.
  • Work closely with our Product Development team to source new suppliers, manage timelines, and meet deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Management: Develop and maintain relationships with existing and new suppliers, including direct communication, sample sourcing, pricing negotiation, and timeline management.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analyses for new and ongoing products, using Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets to ensure profitable outcomes.
  • Product Development Support: Work closely with the product development team to understand product requirements and ensure activities align with product development timelines and budgets.
  • Sourcing New Suppliers: Identify and source new suppliers to meet business needs, including researching and evaluating potential suppliers for new or existing projects.
  • Timeline Management: Manage timelines and meet deadlines to ensure timely delivery of all new products launched per season.
  • Contract Negotiation: Ensure Production team conducts contract negotiations with suppliers to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Documentation & Tracking: Ensure all internal documents are up-to-date at all times for accuracy and efficiency.
  • Internal & External Communication: Provide clear and timely communication with all internal stakeholders for updates, decisions, and deadlines.
Requirements:
  • ">
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in Product Development.
  • Desirable: Experience in Beauty, Hair Goods, or Hair Accessories.
  • Required Skills:
    • ">
    • Product Development Knowledge: Understanding of Product Development processes and requirements.
    • Financial Analysis: Strong analytical skills, with experience in Financial Analysis and Data Analysis using Excel or Google Sheets.
    • Time Management: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
    • Supplier Development and Management with Software Tools (Asana or similar).
    • English.
