PostgreSQL Database Specialist

We are seeking a skilled PostgreSQL database specialist to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing relational data models and database architectures that meet the needs of our business.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of SQL and PL/pgSQL, as well as experience with version control (Git) and modern development workflows. You will also be expected to collaborate closely with other teams to shape how our applications work and implement automated tests and CI/CD pipelines for database development.

  • Design and evolve relational data models and database architecture
  • Write performant, maintainable PL/pgSQL code to power business logic and data flows
  • Contribute to refactoring and optimization of existing DB structures and processes
  • Collaborate closely with BI, backend, and product teams to shape how our applications work
  • Implement automated tests and CI/CD pipelines for database development
Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience in relational database development (PostgreSQL preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and PL/pgSQL
  • Experience with version control (Git) and modern dev workflows
  • Good understanding of database performance and storage optimization
  • Working knowledge of Linux environment
  • Bonus points for scripting skills (Bash, Python)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI/CD is a plus)
  • Experience with Docker and microservices is a strong plus
