Financial Operations Specialist

The Financial Operations Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless execution of financial reviews, bank feed updates, payroll recording, client communications, and periodic accounting clean-up tasks.

This position involves meticulously coding all transactions from each bank or credit card account in the client bank feeds according to established processes. Key responsibilities include:

  • Review and match transactions with precision
  • Conduct thorough cross-checks and review rules, making informed suggestions for recurring transactions
  • Perform comprehensive research to determine suggested coding
  • Document questions for presentation to clients

The specialist will also be responsible for bank account reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, monthly financial reviews, payroll recording, and accounting cleanup tasks.

This role requires unwavering attention to detail, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to grasp new concepts with written and hands-on support.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets is highly desired, as well as experience in QuickBooks Online (QBO) and Xero.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process bank feeds and code transactions accurately
  • Perform bank account and credit card reconciliations efficiently
  • Conduct monthly financial reviews and assist with client communications effectively
  • Record payroll transactions and book benefit bills promptly
  • Assist with accounting cleanup tasks as requested by team members
Requirements:
  • Background in accounting or proven understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
