Financial Operations Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Financial Operations Specialist to take ownership of core accounting functions, optimize financial processes, and support automation initiatives.

This role will focus on journal entries, month-end reconciliations, accounts payable processing, cash and credit card recording, and financial system optimization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Process Optimization & Automation: Lead efforts to streamline accounting workflows and automate processes within our financial systems.
  • General Ledger Management: Record and maintain accurate journal entries ensuring compliance with US GAAP.
  • Month-End Close: Prepare timely and accurate financial reconciliations and schedules.
  • Accounts Payable (AP): Oversee AP processes ensuring timely and accurate vendor payments.
  • Cash & Credit Card Transactions: Accurately record and reconcile all cash and credit card transactions.
  • Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies and implement best practices to improve financial operations.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with internal stakeholders to support financial decision-making.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in general ledger accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Extensive experience with financial systems and a proven track record of closing books for a U.S.-based entity.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, data analysis).
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and drive process improvements.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with SQL for financial data analysis.
  • Proficiency in Snowflake, Ramp, and Rippling.
  • Experience leveraging AI for accounting automation.
  • Audit experience (Big 4 background is a plus).
